Take Her There

This original is about the phase of grief where you need to face those difficult emotions. The girl laying on the back of the horse appears to be lifeless. She is exhausted from resisting processing her grief. Maggie lost her sister Lacey in December 2019. After the funeral took place Maggie went back to work and didn’t give herself a chance to grieve. She also moved jobs in 2020. She found joy in the new work place until December came around. It was soon to be Lacey’s first year anniversary after her passing and Maggie had enough of pretending she was okay.
